In this field, Fundación Polar has designed its programs with the idea of contributing to the knowledge of Venezuela's past and to making it more widely known, and also to do research into how and in which aspects it bears relation to the present day and thus contribute to a better understanding of our circumstances, which is fundamental if we are to devise actions for bettering ourselves and strengthening the image we have of ourselves as a nation.

At the Casa de Estudio de la Historia de Venezuela "Lorenzo A. Mendoza Quintero" (Lorenzo A. Mendoza Quintero Center for the Study of Venezuelan History), the library and the historic archives are open to people outside the center wishing to look up information and do research in the field of historiography. In this way, Fundación Polar hopes to strengthen the multiplier effect of the knowledge acquired by the users of these services.
