To fulfill its mission as an institution and achieve the objectives it has set itself, Fundación Polar works within eight spheres of action: Agriculture, Environment, Science, Food System Economics, Culture, Education and Community Development, History of Venezuela, and Health and Social Welfare. Although it does undertake projects directly, it mainly works under cooperation agreements with other institutions, both public and private, creating more and stronger ties between the two sectors. Since its foundation, Fundación Polar has managed to create a space that is suitable for analysis, reflection, and building areas of consensus that are essential for interinstitutional action. It has enabled Fundación Polar to accumulate experience in designing and executing social projects, always seeking multiplier effects that will have a lasting impact on the circumstances of our society, without losing sight of the possibility that these projects might be suitable for transferring to other institutions, while ensuring, insofar as is possible, their sustainability over time.
