- Right in front of the entrance to the main building -which gives on to a central courtyard- we are met by a model of the most typical of the sailboats found on Margarita Island, the "tres puños", setting the marine mood of the island. To the left is a panel with a beautiful diagram of the boat giving the names of all the parts of the hull, deck fittings, and rigging. The model measures 3 meters long by 2.50 meters high.
- To the left of the entrance to the main building is a large full-color map of Margarita Island, with a description of its marine-coastal and land characteristics, providing the visitor of all the key information about the island in a nutshell.
