Fossils
- Here in this same exhibition hall there is also a valuable collection of fish fossils from the Santana formation in Sergipe, Ceará State, Brazil. They are from the upper cretaceous period (mesozoic or secondary era), and are approximately 150 million years old. There are also some mussel fossils belonging to the same era from Patagonia (Argentina) and from Mochima Bay (Venezuela).
- Three large "saws" or sets of teeth from sawfish on the wall in the passageway connecting this hall with exhibition hall 4 complete the exhibition of fishes and turtles.
