- "Peñero": A small boat, rarely more than 12 m long, that is specially designed to be propelled by an outboard motor. It is very well adapted to sailing in seas with waves of a short wave-length. It is used for fishing with lines, bow nets, drift nets and boulters. On the coasts of Sucre State, there are a large number of villages that are famous for the excellent quality of the "peñeros" built there. Río Caribe is one of them.
