- In the courtyard, there is a curiara, a canoe used by the Warao indians who inhabit the Orinoco Delta. They use it for fishing and also for transporting people and agricultural products along this delta's dense system of distributaries. The Warao keep their curiaras moored right outside their river shacks. They are built from a single tree trunk.
