- Balandra: A sloop or single-masted sail boat with a continuous deck running the entire length of the boat; main sails consisting of a mainsail, a fore-topmast staysail, and a jib; and secondary sails consisting of a mizzen top gallant sail and a gaff topsail. It was used for cabotage. It was between 14 and 18 m long, its beam was between 4 and 5 m, and it had a depth of hold of between 2 and 2.25 m.
